Hot-water extraction with the cleaner’s own equipment and an upholstery tool: hot water and cleaning solution go into the fabric and are vacuumed straight back out.

Carpets in the same visit
Add carpeted bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and stairs to the same booking. Carpet cleaning shares the one $150 minimum.
The mattress service covers the booked accessible sleeping surface and edges. A fabric headboard can be selected separately. Bed turning, heavy furniture moving and bedding laundry are not included.

Tell us about stains, spills, pet accidents and products already tried before the visit. Some stains, damage and odours are permanent, so removal cannot be guaranteed.

Mattresses are priced by size: a cot mattress is $30, a single or king single $60, a double $90, a queen $120 and a king $150, GST included, before the booking fee. A mattress booked on its own is charged at least the $150 minimum.

What does mattress cleaning cost in Australia?

We read mattress cleaning price lists in seven cities on 12 October 2026. Operators’ queen prices ran $79–$205 and singles $50–$135. Our queen at $120 sits inside every city’s range and our single at $60 near the bottom of it. Three things change the real total more than the headline: the size a “from” price refers to (usually a single or a cot), the minimum charge ($80 to $199 among those that state one; ours is $150, once per booking) and whether the price covers one side or both. Ours covers one accessible sleeping surface and its edges; some providers include the second side and others charge extra for it.

Advertised prices before any minimum, not quotes for the same mattress: sides, method, add-ons and GST differ, so we do not average them or rank providers. Marketplaces, cost guides, limited-time offers and pages that contradicted themselves are left out. Each city page lists every provider we read.
Urine, sweat and other accidents

Tell us when you book: how old the mark is, how big, and what has been tried. Hot-water extraction can lift what is in the mattress fabric. Urine that has soaked into the foam or springs can leave a stain or smell that a fabric clean does not reach, so removal cannot be guaranteed; for a mattress soaked right through, replacing it may be the better option.
Before the visit, blot a fresh accident with paper towel rather than rubbing, and don’t soak the mattress with products. Our guide to cleaning a mattress at home covers the in-between days.
Dust mites, allergies and bed bugs
A fabric clean,
not a treatment.
Many mattress cleaning pages promise to remove dust mites, allergens or bacteria, often with a percentage attached. We don’t make those claims and we don’t sell anti-allergen, sanitiser or UV packages. What we clean is the fabric of one sleeping surface and its edges, with hot water and a cleaning solution extracted straight back out.
If you have asthma or allergies, ask your doctor what helps; if you suspect bed bugs, call a licensed pest controller first and book a clean afterwards if you still want one.
How do I compare mattress cleaning quotes?

Before and after the visit

Strip the bed: sheets, mattress protector and toppers off, so the sleeping surface is clear when the cleaner arrives.
Tell us in booking about wet patches, accidents, sweat marks, blood or anything you have already tried on them.
Book a morning visit if you can, so the mattress has the day to dry before bedtime: drying time depends on the mattress, the room and the weather.
Clear a path to the bed and a spot near a power point. In an apartment, add the floor, lift and parking details so the machine can come up.
After
Open windows or run a fan, and keep the room aired until the surface is dry to the touch.
Keep children and pets off it until it is dry, then put a clean mattress protector on before the bedding.
Follow the drying advice your cleaner gives on the day; it depends on how much the mattress took in.
Ask about drying in the room’s conditions and arrange another sleeping option if needed. Cleaning is not an allergy, pest or guaranteed odour-removal treatment.
